You can easily travel to Lisbon, the stunning capital city of Portugal and one of the most charismatic and vibrant cities of Europe, by train right from the center of Cascais, or catch a bus to Sintra, the Unesco World Heritage with its rippling mountains, dewy forests thick with ferns and lichen, exotic gardens and glittering palaces, looking like a page torn from a fairy tale.

You have a good pastry shop near by named Sacolinha, and a supermarket in the building..
You can do Surf, Wind-Surf and Kite-Surf at Guincho beach and Carcavelos beach.
You have Golf courses at Estoril (4/5 km away) and at Quinta da Marinha (arund 2/3 Km away)
No noise after hours - we highly value and respect our neighbours, and kindly ask our equally valued guests to please refrain from making noise after hours, especially between 22h00 - 8h00.

September 2025The apartment matched the website photos exactly. The view from the balcony was wonderful – the morning sun and the sea made the space feel bright and open. Upon arrival, everything necessary was already available in the bathroom and kitchen, which made moving in easy – there was no need to rush to the store. The location is excellent: the Old Town and the beach are both within a comfortable walking distance. I was very pleased with the apartment itself. Some street noise can be heard through the windows, but it's quiet at night. If someone is coming with a stroller or renting a bicycle, it's good to know that the elevator is quite small, which might cause minor inconvenience. Many thanks once again to Mrs. Maria, who welcomed me so kindly. I recommend this apartment for 1–3 people and would gladly return in the future. Best regards, Janoš

May 2025I felt at home there. The apartment is located in a very peaceful area, only 2.5 km from the center. Since I went to work in the port every day, a walk in the morning and evening was part of the daily routine, as well as a visit to the bakery next door to buy fresh Pastel de Natas and pastries. The apartment is equipped with everything you need and is suitable for both shorter and longer stays. You can enjoy the sunrise from the balcony. I am especially grateful that I was able to check in earlier. It is very nice that when I had questions, I received answers very quickly. I am very, very happy that I was able to stay in Maria Elvira's apartment.

July 2023O apartamento fica em uma vizinhança tranquila, pertode um Pingo Doce, de um ótimo mercadinho logo abaixo no prédio e de uma Sacolinha. o mobiliários é antigo, mas tudo funcionou bem. O único problema foi o chuveiro que deixava água sair e molhava bastante os tapetes do banheiro. Todo o resto funcionou muito bem. Recomendo.

August 2023Fui con mi pareja y pasamos una semana muy tranquila. El apartamento estaba muy ordenado y daba la sensación de sentirse como en casa. Las vistas desde el salón eran ideales. Está localizado a unos 10 minutos en coche del centro, por lo que es perfecto para desconectar. Además, siempre había sitio para aparcar. Desde allí se podía llegar a diferentes playas en muy poco tiempo. La atención y la comunicación fueron impecables. Muy recomendable.

October 2023Staying at Maria's place was amazing. Apartment is located some 15 minutes walking away from Cascais. Just $4 Uber ride from the CBD. Which puts it in a strategic location for a relaxed stay with some exploration moments. Apartment is a nice family home, with everything one needs. Kitchen was nice, bathroom was ok. Good balcony. Some local shops and groceries in the building that make it all more practical. The host was always responsive, trying everything to provide me with a great experience. They even came to meet me at Cais do Sodré (quite far away) to return something I had left in their place, and didn't charge for it. Felt like family, really. And Cascais is a nice region, with lots to do.

July 2024We had a great stay at Maria's place! Well located, has shops and cafe super close for a morning coffee out. Maria was super responsive and help us with xehxm in and check out which we really appreciated. The flat was IMMACULATE, I've never seen floors so clean and shiny. The view from the lounge is breath taking. The only thing was that the bed frames are very loud when you make any sort of movement so unfortunately that affected our sleep. It's not something that you can easily fix and I didn't see it mentioned in other reviews so I thought I'd mention it in case you're a light sleeper like myself. Otherwise, our stay was perfect and I would definitely reccommend staying here, it's a very good deal for the location and Maria was kind and helpful anytime we had a question.

July 2024El piso de Maria Elvira es muy amplio y luminoso con unas bonitas vistas desde el ventanal. Dispone de todo lo que puedas necesitar para la estancia. Zona tranquila muy cerca del centro de Cascais. Los supermercados cercanos son muy caros pero a menos de 10 min en coche hay diferentes alternativas

September 2024Die Wohnung hat eine gute Ausgangslage für einen Besuch in Lissabon oder sintra. Alles vorhanden gewesen und es was sauber. Unten ist eine kleiner Supermarkt und ein Bäcker ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Auch gab es eine Vielzahl an Parkmöglichkeiten.
